With company resizing, causing changes in roles and responsibilities, pressure to increase profits, and remote working, there is a significant feeling of instability in the workplace. Management can either alleviate or add to this feeling based on how they communicate. Without clear communication, based on respect, encouragement, and understanding, a manager will not only render his/herself ineffective, but will cause employee dissatisfaction and possibly create a high turnover. With these things, however, they can excel as a leader and bring the company and the workforce into a place of success. Let’s look at three keys to productive communication.
